Editor’s Note: as I explained recently, a number of personal issues and caring for a seriously ill cat are unfortunately interfering with my writing schedule at the moment and I found myself in desperate need of a day (or two) off to recover my ability to write anything worth reading. After some consideration, I’ve decided that I’m going to skip the Week 4 NFL picks column; in part because the demand for these articles is much lower than the others and in part because they take a very long time to put together.

I am not, as of this time however prepared to give up on the column; although I will concede that it’s probably first on the chopping block if constraints on my writing time continue to increase. In order to keep the column going, I’m going to to just list my picks this week bellow – I’m guessing after the ass-kicking we took last week, nobody but me is worried about it but you can’t have an NFL Picks column without picks every week.
