Team Building Exercises for Nazis

Folks, would you believe me if I told you all is not well in Trump’s brave new Amerika? In my last piece here on NIDC, I wrote about the Klepto Kaiser’s incompetent nazi Secretary of Defense testifying before Congress about a plan to create portable military repression taskforces to enforce the president’s fascist, and often blatantly illegal edicts; in that article, I argued that if this full Pinochet bullshit walks, it means we are already living in the fascist dictatorship the Swine Emperor so clearly lusts after. I mention this because as it turns out, Pete Hegseth’s plan for a portable military dictatorship wasn’t the only ominous news coming out of the Defense Department this week.

Reports from inside the regime also indicate that the Pentagon is reviewing a standing request by Kristi Noem and the Department of Homeland Security for a permanent force of twenty thousand National Guard troops to perform immigration policing tasks directly. Furthermore, and even more ominously, the Trump regime is also exploring the use of military bases around the country to cage captured migrants, or anyone else the feds want to arrest.

Trump wants 20,000 troops to hunt, transport immigrants. Cost estimate: $3.6 billion

“The Pentagon is reviewing a Department of Homeland Security request to deploy more than 20,000 additional National Guard troops to aid the Trump administration’s widening crackdown on illegal immigration around the United States, according to officials and documents.

Homeland Security officials want the troops to help track fugitives, quell riots at detention centers and search for unaccompanied children in remote or hostile terrain.

Meanwhile, Pentagon and Customs and Border Patrol officials have inspected military bases in recent months from New Jersey to California as potential sites to detain an expected influx of migrants.”

I don’t know how many more “smoke em if you’ve got em” moments the second Trump presidency can produce before my lungs give out, but this is absolutely horrifying news that isn’t getting nearly enough follow-up coverage in the media. What the regime is proposing here is more or less transforming over twenty thousand National Guardsmen into a militarized arm of ICE, Border Patrol, and the private prison companies we pay to warehouse captured migrants; a force which would then be entirely under the command of the Gestapo and thus President Trump. I’ve pointing out multiple times that there aren’t enough federal forces under the executive branch’s command for the Swine Emperor to actually enforce a Trumpenreich dictatorship in the face of widespread resistance, but if these nazi pigs gets their hands on a twenty-thousand strong standing army of US soldiers, all bets are off. This proposal then brings up three major issues:

First of all, this is a transparent attempt to increase the military capabilities of the Gestapo, and in doing so, circumvent the need to invoke the Insurrection Act to straight up just use the National Guard for immigration policing in the American interior. That includes in your town, anywhere in the country. The tasks Noem is requesting thousands of troops for, which include hunting down “fugitives,” surveillance, transportation support, and guarding prisons, are all activities budgeted for and performed by other federal agencies and contractors already. How exactly this isn’t Noem massively increasing the size of the Gestapo without legislative branch approval is absolutely fucking beyond me; the larger American discourse is busy having a debate about the optics of using National Guardsmen to protect Gestapo raids from protestors, and she’s just recruiting an army as far as I can tell. If this bullshit is approved, it’s going to put armed soldiers in your streets all over the country, to hunt down and cage brown people, and while I’m absolutely certain Noem’s proposal is a violation of the spirit of the the Posse Comitatus Act, informal precedents, never designed to facilitate a fascist regime conducting an ethnic cleansing operation against the will of state Governors, have lead me to believe there’s a good chance this is all “legal.”

Additionally, transforming military bases into migrant prisons, and using US military personnel to guard caged migrants is also a sneaky way to drastically expand Trump’s pre-existing gulag system without the traditionally-required legislative approval. The reason fascist police states are synonymous with concentration camps is that it’s difficult to round up everyone who disagrees with your ideology if you don’t have cages to put them in, but if Trump can just use our ubiquitous military bases as concentration camps, that barrier to establishing an American dictatorship simply doesn’t exist. Don’t sleep on the fact that the DHS proposal talks about “overwhelmed detention facilities” and “riot control” either. Why is the Trump regime expecting detention facilities to be “overwhelmed,” who do they expect to “riot,” and given what we’ve seen these assclown nazis call rioting and insurrection, what does “riot” even mean in this context? It sounds to me like Kristi Noem wants permanent DHS-loyal troops to man private prisons, put down migrant carceral riots, and attack protestors demonstrating outside of immigration detention facilities. Just how many people are the Gestapo planning on locking up here?

Finally of course, we can’t forget that a fascist police state for targeting migrants, is a fascist police state for targeting anyone else too. We’ve already seen what the Trumpenreich can accomplish with a ready-bake army of under five thousand troops in terms of taking over a Democrat-run city against the wishes of state and municipal representatives, so what could Trump accomplish with over twenty thousand National Guardsmen under his command and at the ready? For starters the training and military hardware National Guard troops have access to would put Hitler’s brownshirts to shame. Barring widespread kinetic resistance, I’d wager that twenty thousand or so National Guardsman is more or less enough troops to occupy all the parts of the country that didn’t vote for Trump and wouldn’t obey his (often illegal or unconstitutional) edicts otherwise. Furthermore, once Trump obtained a standing army from fascist Republican Governors, there would be absolutely no one capable of stopping him from expanding it.

My friends, there comes a point where you have to stop entertaining the possibility that the Trumpenreich is “accidentally” building a piecemeal militarized terror state dictatorship. The Swine Emperor is looking for an army to deploy domestically. These nazis don’t have an open plot to install Trump as a dictator and enforce their fascist agenda, they have multiple such plans and are prosecuting as many of them as possible simultaneously. Additionally, we don’t have to keep asking ourselves if the regime is serious about all this authoritarian bullshit because when you purposely build a militarized fascist police state, it’s because you mean to use it, and these white nationalist assclowns are certainly building it. This is really happening. The fascists are serious, and the only question left is, what do those of us who can’t or won’t learn how to goosestep want to do about it?
