In this section of The Library, you’ll find books about racism, domestic injustice and the evils of western European colonization abroad; including by not limited to, issues of racialized oppression, bigotry, repressive policing and the military occupation of marginalized communities; both in the United States and foreign nations colonized by western imperial forces. In particular, this page focuses on the systemic persecution and repression of the marginalized, racialized, and othered, by forces of the state, or ruling class capital.

Unfortunately, given the centrality of race and marginalization to the larger capitalist project, there is quite a good deal of crossover between this section and other portions of The Library. Readers looking to explore specific campaigns of police state tyranny against both marginalized groups and left wing organizations, like for example the FBI’s COINTELPRO operations, are encouraged to instead check out the Books About Espionage, Counter Insurgency & Mass Surveillance section. Finally, readers looking to explore explicitly leftist push-back against repressive, militarized police and colonial oppression by groups such as the Black Panther Party, are encouraged to check out the Marxism, Anarchism & Liberation Ideology Books page.
