Media Madness: Law and (the Fascist) Order

Editor’s note: after struggling against online censorship and some procrastinating, I’m getting around to reorganizing my website. As part of that process, I’m posting links to older content that I will never find again otherwise.

This activity is tedious, but necessary for my archives. Please bear with me in the meantime and thanks for all your support.

The Fullness of Time

Although it has become quite fashionable to pretend the attempted fascist coup on January 6th, 2021, was some sort of surprising aberration, the truth is that both swine emperor Trump, and his Pork Reich administration, had long exposed themselves as literal fascists by the time they started tossing out election fraud conspiracy theories in November of 2020. While high profile “mask off” moments like gassing singing protesters in Lafayette Park for a photo up sucked up all the headlines, the Trump regime spent most of the months leading up to the election clearly advertising their fascist inclinations in stories sporadically (and often improperly) reported by the mainstream media.

This September 11th, 2020 essay on Media Madness concerns two such stories; then acting-DHS director Chad Wolf’s open threat to round up “the leaders” of Antifa and Black Lives Matter, and the police state murder of Michael Reinoehl conducted on Trump’s order – a story that still hasn’t registered in the public consciousness as a political assassination even despite the growing body of evidence pointing to just such a conclusion.

In other words, the writing was on the wall long before the Capitol Hill riot; it just hadn’t affected the type of affluent liberals who write opinion pieces about American politics yet.

“Okay so did the US Attorney General, the de-facto head of the U.S. Department of Justice just describe an extrajudicial execution (without evidence, a trial or any judicial process whatsoever) of someone suspected of a crime as a triumph for justice, while effectively signalling to law enforcement that the government will have their back if they kill anarchists or members of “Antifa?” You betcha; that is exactly what just happened. But don’t tell CNN or the rest of mainstream “liberal” media in America, they clearly don’t consider it very important that the President just put a hit out on a man (who might have acted in self defense) for political purposes, or that his fixer Attorney General then justified that revenge killing as necessary to maintain public safety.”
