Editor’s Note: originally I wasn’t going to post individual links to The Skinny posts here on ninaillingworth.com, but in light of the ongoing troubles I’m having with online censorship it seems like trying not to annoy my readers with multiple notification emails for the same content is not really a luxury I can afford anymore; please forgive me if you’ve already seen this post because you’re a Patreon subscriber or you follow me on social media.

The Skinny is a semi-regular collection of social media essays, analysis and commentary threads I’ve written, presented in a single blog post/article format. In this edition of The Skinny, I examine the inescapable reality that the 2020 Democratic Party primaries are rigged, the bizarre (and potentially fatal) fallout from the last Democratic Party nomination contest debate and two examples of ongoing government coronavirus criminality that will probably fall down the memory hole in the midst of this global pandemic. Mendacious Money Murder Madness

After a long hiatus, The Skinny returns as we tackle three different examples of rich people lying and poor people literally dying, so someone, somewhere can turn a profit. First up we examine (primarily) Republican politicians trading stocks for profit based on inside information about coronavirus, while telling their constituents the plague is a hoax. Then I touch briefly on rigging the Democratic Primary process for corporate candidates and the money power they represent; a decision that ultimately will kill poor people. Finally we close out with some harsh words for those who sent old ladies out into the plague to vote for Joe Biden in a nomination contest he’d already effectively won.

“As an analyst whose desire to expose the corrupt and speak truth to power was largely forged in those two crises however, I can however advocate for the vital importance of remembering, cataloguing and sharing evidence of open malfeasance towards the people by our ruling class. In the carnage, chaos and crass commercialization of the crisis, our corporate overlords and their political class lackeys are repeatedly forced to “let the mask slip” in their haste to feast like hogs on public coffers. The trick however is that these absolutely galling examples of blatant criminality of our aristocratic establishment and their corporate masters will typically only surface in the public consciousness briefly, before being subsumed into a larger, pro-corporate, pro-establishment narrative once the powers that be settle on a unified theory of history to sell the (largely) gullible “masses.”
